Mu' Poetry

Temple Entrance - Japan......the misty stairs to anywhere

Mu' Poetry

The clouds white floating,
in the darkness of my tea cup.
Reflection joining tea and clouds,
bringing brightness to both.

The misty stairs can lead to a place we are familiar with. A favorite place, a secret place --- that is real, virtual or found within the mind or soul. These stairs reminding me of warm places when I am cold and coolness when I am too tired to move ahead. A place filled with joyful feelings, a place to hide and rest as my self for alittle while, a place where I am accepted and can anticipate happiness within.

So I placed this entrance here for you at the beginning of my poetry and thoughts.

I have always wanted to write poetry and thought there was a secret to it; but I was told by a poet friend and a haiku friend; that there is form, but mainly the verse comes from the heart in it's unexpected places. So on their advice I write a kind of haiku verse and just follow the pencil and the mind's eye. Some of the poems may be awful and some may hit that point shared between you and I. But I hope all of it welcomes you here and gives you a reason to stay a while and maybe even try your hand on paper with some of your thoughts. Remember it is as easy as following a simple formula of 5 syllables in the first line then 7 syllables in the second line and 5 syllables in the third line; of your three line poem or haiku. It would be nice too if the last line were a surprise ending, but it is not necessary! Just give it a try; write a poem for yourself. I will be adding, often, more verse as it comes to my pencil and little blank book. So if you enjoy reading poems and want to check up on what is happening within some shared thoughts and experiences, please check back often. I'll try to be here often to share the latest findings of life within these verses, add some links of interest and hopefully make your life's journey alittle clearer and brighter.

Enjoy!

bright light
the rays penetrate
and heal all

the blush of dawn
un-moved
by the wind of the coming day

Poetess

green kimono
born of wind and leaves
enwraps the evening
